Dr. Marini and Associates’ Qualifications


Irmo Marini, Ph.D., CRC, CLCP, FVE® is certified in both life care planning and rehabilitation counseling as well as a registered forensic vocational expert. He earned a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation from Auburn University, AL in 1992 where he acquired academic and necessary skills to conduct life care plans and vocational assessments. Previous to this, he earned a master's degree in Clinical Psychology from Lakehead University, Ont. Canada. He has been a professor and coordinates the graduate program in Rehabilitation Counseling at the University of Texas-Pan American for the past nine years. His vita attached here shows his over 50 refereed publications in the field of rehabilitation counseling, life care planning, vocational issues and disability. He similarly has made over 50 regional, national and international presentations. Dr. Marini is the former Chair of the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) which is the national certifying body for rehabilitation counselors in the US and Canada. He is currently on the editorial boards of three rehabilitation journals as well as holds other national office positions. Dr. Marini has worked with attorneys in seven states and Canada on developing life care plans and vocational damages assessments. Associate Qualifications


All of Dr. Marini's associates are graduate level trained rehabilitation counselors who are either certified as rehabilitation counselors or in the process of becoming certified. Their levels of training and experience vary, however focus primarily on medical and vocational case management with workers compensation cases as well as public sector vocational rehabilitation cases, pain management and life care planning. All Associates abide by the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics for certified rehabilitation counselors through the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification. Several Associates are fluent in both the Spanish and English language.

Additional Contracted Personnel


When relevant, Dr. Marini also contractually employees the assistance of registered nurses, certified assistive technology professionals, and other Ph.D.'s in rehabilitation counseling. These professionals are sometimes used to summarize medical records, provide opinions and quotations regarding assistive technology, and establish pricing of various procedures and/or therapies.
